I like the way the piece juxtaposes a certain dignity and primitive humanity, especially in profile.

Construction:

The 50 x 50 mm pencil outline of the profile was blown up to actual size, and this was developed in three dimensions to form the template.

A 6mm wire frame was built, and corroded 2mm sheet steel sections were cut, shaped cold, welded together, and the welds ground and polished. This took about 150 hours...
