A whimsical work inspired by the found objects themselves. The main casting was from a small ore crusher discarded by the Geomatics Department at Melbourne University. The name comes from the date on the casting: 1968. Construction: This piece was bolted together. The face and teeth sections were fabricated, the hair is galvanised iron nails. The eyes are lenses from a slide projector, backlit with LED arrays. |
